www.bulbapp.com/jenmwaite My name is Jenna Gannon and what can I say, I love Alameda! I started working here last year and feel that I have really found my home. I teach a number of different things: Ceramics, Sculpture, 3D Design, Yearbook and Drawing. Coming up in the fall of 2016, I will also be teaching the Visual Arts Career Path. I took the long way around to becoming an Art Teacher. It was something that I have wanted to do since I was in high school. However, life took me down other paths. I studied Physiology at the University of Colorado in Boulder and followed that up with a move to the ocean. While exploring my love for water and sun, I worked in sales. After several years of drooling over creative careers, I decided to make a change. I received my Art Education degree from Colorado State University in Boulder. My recent artwork consists of large ceramic sculptures of animals and diy house projects. When I am not at Alameda I love to hike, camp, run, explore nature, and work on my house with my family. Currently I am Mom to a wild two year old boy with another on the way! My home time is structured much like a science exploration where we examine bugs, animals, trees and leaves. I am trying to work on my fear of snakes and creepy crawly things. They seem to be a constant with two little boys at home. |
